Our Uni:4U summer schools are for Year 10 students within Greater Manchester. They take place at a range of university and further education campuses across the region. We have a programme of events which offer something for everyone – some give you a taste of specific subjects, others give you a broader insight into higher education and uni life. All of our events are free to attend and they include workshops, interactive sessions, campus tours and group projects, which will hype you up for your future decisions.

Murder on Campus
University of Bolton

Calling all Sherlocks, Poirots and Miss Marples, the game is afoot! We need your help to solve the ultimate murder mystery and ensure justice is served.

By the end of the week, you’ll walk away with not just new skills and knowledge, but a renewed sense of confidence and the drive to take on whatever’s next for you.

After the closing date, we’ll review applications and allocate places to the summer schools. You’ll be emailed by early May 2025 to let you know if you’ve been allocated a place or whether you’ve been added to a waiting list. If you’ve been given a place, you’ll receive more information about the event.

It’s free. We cover the costs of all food, travel and, for residential summer schools, accommodation.
Yes. All staff (including student ambassadors) working at the event have an enhanced DBS and you’ll be supervised at all times. All events have been risk assessed and created with student safety in mind.
There isn’t anything you’ll need specifically but if you get a place confirmed, the event lead will let you know if there is anything they recommend that you bring/wear such as comfortable clothes.
