The Social Media Effect
Event providers: Stockport College

Social media is now a norm for finding jobs and progressing in a career. But how many young people know about the digital footprint they create and what may come back to haunt them?
In this session we’ll explore a range of social media platforms, and students will understand the importance of effectively managing their social media and keeping safe! We touch upon the influence of social media content on employers’ decision-making towards candidates applying for jobs. Furthermore, the session provides IAG on how to create a positive and professional social media profile.
