Success4Life

About the event

Manchester Metropolitan University is thrilled to announce the commencement of its annual, highly commended, programme, Success4Life. This project is open to all looked-after and care-experienced young people in Years 8 and 9 across Greater Manchester.

We’re now open for nominations for learners from your school to take part.

About the project

This project is for looked-after children in Years 8 and 9, focusing on their futures and available opportunities. Delivered by the Manchester Metropolitan University Widening Participation team and student ambassadors, Success4Life is a 7-week programme emphasising self-development, strengths, skills, confidence, and aspirations.

Through group work and team-building activities, it aims to motivate and inspire young people, raising awareness of Higher Education and post-16 options.

The project includes lots of fun and engaging activities, featuring positive role models, some of whom are care-experienced university students. The project concludes with a Graduation ceremony on Thursday 19 June, where learners’ carers and supporters are all welcome.

We hope that the project will be a memorable and worthwhile experience for the young people. For more information about our Sucess4Life project, see pages 7 & 8 of our annual impact report.

Food and refreshments will be provided at every session for participants.
