A Mythbuster’s Guide to Student Finance
Event providers: Greater Manchester Higher
Student finance has always been a tricky subject to communicate to learners ahead of them making a university application, especially to younger ages.
So we’re delighted, now that social distancing rules have been relaxed, to announce the return of our fun, drama production A Mythbuster’s Guide to Student Finance in May 2022.
This is a fun and irreverent look at the loans available, and the repayment terms, courtesy of the Oldham-based Dare To Know theatre company.
Performances can be booked over two weeks (Monday May 16 to Friday May 27 inclusive), and are aimed at Year 12, Year 11 or Year 10 audiences. We can consider bookings from entire year groups or smaller groups (circa 30+ learners).
In 2019, prior to Covid, around 6,500 learners from across Greater Manchester watched the play. Our evaluations showed that 95% of them improved their knowledge and understanding on student finance.
With student finance rules changing for current Year 12s, what better way to get these important messages across than this amusing and impactful play.
Please allow 45 minutes for the performance. We expect interest in the play to be high so please book early to avoid disappointment.
