Manchester Museum Careers Takeover – PM session

As part of Careers Week, we’ll be bringing careers to life across the museum, giving learners the opportunity to discover the wide range of people, skills and professions that come together to make Manchester Museum what it is. From curators and conservators to careers in marketing, design and social media, students will discover that there is much more to working in a museum than they might imagine.

Through interactive career zones, learners will meet the people behind these roles, hear about their career journeys, and get an insight into what their jobs are really like.

More than a careers event, the day is designed to open up the museum to young people, helping learners see it as an accessible, welcoming, and relevant space where they can explore, ask questions and imagine new possibilities for their futures.

Alongside broadening their understanding of careers and future pathways, the session aims to strengthen motivation, attitudes towards learning and learners’ confidence in making informed decisions about what comes next.

GM Higher will need to record the participation of learners in line with our funding requirements, so we will ask you to provide a register.
