Future Health Careers Innovation Day

This is an on-campus event for post-16 learners who have an interest in pursuing a career in healthcare. The objective of the day is for the attendees to explore roles in healthcare, inspiring the participants to consider the diverse career paths whilst also linking to the popular GMAC careers in the NHS, Medical Research and Social Care.

Learners will experience lecture style talks and take part in a workshop, with a chance to network with professionals, alumni and some of the University’s current healthcare students. This will encourage them to build on their understanding of the healthcare pathways into higher education (HE) via the graduate route, give them the opportunity to ask past and current students questions, whilst offering them a wider perspective of university life and post HE healthcare career opportunities.

After this session, learners will have an increased knowledge of the HE experiences in specific course/career options and an increased capacity to make informed decisions about their future.
