HE is for Everyone: Student Life as a Disabled Person

About the event

This bespoke workshop explores the support available to students with disabilities or mental health conditions, alongside the experiences of studying with a disability at college and university.

The workshop will cover:

  • Important things to consider as a disabled student when researching & applying to university
  • Reasonable adjustments and support available at college and university
  • Student finance and applying for funding for student support
  • The student experience and real stories of disabled students

By the end of this workshop, students will have completed a university support plan and have an understanding of what would support would benefit them at college and university.

This workshop can be tailored to groups and is designed as a safe space where students can ask their questions.

Please provide any information about the group and any access needs so the facilitator can prepare any accommodations.

GM Higher will need to record participation of learners in line with our funding requirements, so we will ask you to provide a register.
