Healthcare Career Pathways Day

Healthcare Career Pathways Day

About the event

This is a half-day, on-campus industry insight event for post-16 learners, who have an interest in pursuing a career in healthcare. The objective of the day is for the attendees to explore roles in healthcare, inspiring the participants to consider the diverse career paths via the healthcare graduate route within the intersection of science, technology, engineering, and maths.

Attendees will experience lecture style talks from a Senior Clinical Teacher in Optometry, a representative from the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health and a UoM Healthcare Alumni. They will take part in a hands-on public health workshop, with a chance to network with professionals, the alumni and the University’s Healthcare societies reps. This will encourage them to build on their understanding of the healthcare pathways into higher education, give them the opportunity to ask past and current students questions, whilst offering them a wider perspective of university life and post HE healthcare career opportunities.
