Digital Arts Subject Masterclass

Digital Arts Subject Masterclass

About the event

**This activity is now fully booked, please speak to your Hub Manager for other activities we can offer.**

This event, led by faculty colleagues from School of Digital Arts (SODA), will be an engaging introduction to practical applications of digital arts. It is ideal for pupils with an interest in creative and digital arts who want to learn more about the pathways into higher education (HE), the techniques of digital arts, and potential career pathways.

Each day will include workshops from two of the following subject areas: animation; games art/games design; future media and production; web and UX design; music and sound design; photography; film making. The workshops provided will vary per event and will be confirmed after a booking is made; be assured that all the workshops are hands-on and are designed to appeal to a broad arts audience regardless of their overarching theme.

Across the day, pupils will be introduced to:

  • Pathways into digital arts in HE.
  • The skills for working in digital arts.
  • Digital arts careers.

As well as improving understanding about pathways and careers related to digital arts, this event aims to increase learners’ motivation for higher education (HE) by outlining the benefits, enhance their academic skills, and increase capacity to make informed decisions about their future.

Please note lunch is not provided at this event.

GM Higher will need to record participation of learners in line with our funding requirements, so we will ask you to provide a register.
