Diggin’ Data and Battlin’ Bots
Event providers: University of Bolton

This is a half-day event, led by academic staff, which gives students a taster of studying Computing in higher education. Your learners will spend the day with us as we explore storing and retrieving big data in order to bring stories to life. Then, we’ll see what it takes to program tiny tank robots that can compete in a virtual battle arena. Do you have what it takes to build the winning bot?
Learners will:
- Compare higher education courses and entry requirements
- Recognise which subjects can support or advantage life goals
- Engage proactively with higher education providers and employers
- Know what to expect from their choice and potential outcomes
