Let’s celebrate the Lockdown Heroes in your school or college!
It’s been a hugely challenging time across the education sector thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are asking for your help to mark the hard work of teaching and support staff across the region.
Nominations are now open for GM Higher’s Lockdown Heroes Awards. We want to recognise the heroes who have gone the extra mile for their students throughout the pandemic. Including initiatives that were successful in maintaining learner engagement during lockdown, especially amongst those groups of students who were most likely to be disadvantaged by the pandemic.
And we’re looking to recognise the efforts of both teachers and support staff (teaching assistants, SEN or Specialists, PAs and Admin staff) and have a specific award for those working in the field of Careers Education – co-sponsored by our colleagues at Bridge GM. [1]
The winner of each category will win for themselves, or their school, £600 worth of spending on CPD (Continuing Professional Development)[2].
The winner of the Bridge GM sponsored award for Careers Education will win a £1600 spend to be put towards activities for students, which address gaps in provision (specifically Gatsby Benchmarks 4, 5, and 6).
