Are you in Year 11 and looking for advice about your next steps in education or your future career? Would you like free, 1:1 and bespoke support from a mentor with experience of higher education and the workplace?

The Brightside Online Mentoring Programme is a flexible, free online opportunity for you to speak to a mentor with experience of higher education and the workplace.

This opportunity is completely flexible. It’s a text-based messaging app with no requirements for video calls or live chat, directly accessible from your phone.

Why take part?

  • To receive 1:1, tailored and bespoke support about your future from someone with experience of careers and higher education.
  • To have an open conversation about your ideas, hopes, and aspirations with someone who is there to listen and provide advice, not judge.
  • To develop your communication and research skills, as you engage in a meaningful conversation and learn more about different pathways.
  • Find out more about yourself and where your interests could take you.

What students say about online mentoring:

It has improved my confidence in knowing what I need to do to achieve my goals.”

“My mentor was really friendly and welcoming and motivating.”
