Get industry insight at our new 1853 training restaurant, you’ll spend the day training with current students at the Industry Excellence Academy for Hospitality and Catering (within The Manchester College). With the rare opportunity to gain work experience serving alongside our service team to create high-quality food and drinks including mocktails and desserts. Followed by the chance to dine in a friendly and relaxed environment – with the food and drinks you will have made yourself.
After lunch you will have the opportunity to meet an ex-alumni Aaron Lee Tran. At just 24-years old, South Manchester-born Aaron Lee Tran is the Founder and chef at South Manny Flavaz. His food journey began packing prawn crackers for his auntie and he’s worked his way up in the catering industry across France, Italy and the UK.
