Visual FX Industry Insight

Event providers: University of Salford

The University of Salford are teaming up with Access VFX to promote inclusion, diversity, awareness and opportunity within the Visual FX, Animation & Games industries.

As jobs go digital and the traditional jobs market changes, we believe every industry will need to begin grass roots outreach to showcase education paths, career paths and help kids and adults from all walks of life, from anywhere in the country have a foot in the door and work in some of the most exciting industries the UK has to offer.

Join us for a day of interactive exploration of the VFX industry, hosted at our Media City UK campus.

  • Hear from industry professionals from some of the top global and London-based studios such as Industrial Light and Magic, The Mill and Framestore
  • Discover what University study options are available to progress into the industry
  • Use our stat-of-the-art facilities to try out industry standard software
  • Tour our MediaCity campus and a nearby studio

Whether your interests are in Art, Science, Maths, Media or you’re just very organised there are many roles within our industry that if sign posted early could change the career path of many children and they could end up working on creating Films, TV Programmes and Games that they are passionate about.

This is a free event and lunch will be provided. For more information please contact outreach@salford.ac.uk
