The TD Big Build Challenge is a construction-based activity for students aged 14-16 years old to get them thinking about careers in construction. It’s designed so teams of students work together to look at the different elements of a construction programme, to get them thinking about the different trades and disciplines within the industry.
Each team will be given a set of cards that detail the different construction activities and the timescales/restrictions linked to each activity. They will then need to put together the construction programme using this information. Each team will have a TD representative who will be able to answer basic questions but not give specific advice about the programme. The aim is to get them thinking about the construction process and the different trades/activities involved.
