Enhancing your teaching of GCSE English (AQA)
This practical twilight session will provide a range of teaching strategies and resources to support your students’ understanding of the AQA GCSE English exam.
The session will include advice on how to:
- develop your students’ critical reading skills
- connect with students’ natural creativity
- unpick the mark scheme to improve achievement
As well as the training session, a teacher resource pack will be provided for further use in the classroom, including sample exam papers and mark schemes.
This GCSE English CPD session will be led by Jonathan Morgan, a former GCSE English Principal examiner and co-author of Revise AQA GCSE English Language 9-1 Revision Guide & Revision Workbook. Jonathan is a former Head of English and Secondary English consultant with over twenty years’ teaching, consultancy and examining experience.
