Support in HE for Me
Event providers: University of Salford

The day involves hearing from staff about the support available to students with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties as well as current students who will share their own experiences of accessing this support. There will also be a workshop about higher education, a team-building exercise to show what skills are needed in HE and a tour of the university campus.
This event is aimed at young people who have a specific learning difficulty and would benefit from learning about how higher education institutions support them and create a level playing field through reasonable adjustments. We hope to break down the perceived barriers to higher education caused by specific learning difficulties through the information, advice and guidance provided at this event.
