In Summer 2022, the Success4Life project will enter its 7th successful year in Rochdale and we would like to invite you to nominate looked after children in your school to take part!
What is it?- Success4Life is an aspiration and confidence raising project aimed at looked after young people. Each week young people take part in a range of engaging and interactive activities intended to raise their awareness of Higher Education and their Post-16 options, as well as life skills, wellbeing, team building and confidence workshops.
Where?– The project will meet at Touchstones Rochdale, The Esplanade, Rochdale OL16 1AQ
Who is it for?– Looked After Children in Rochdale and the surrounding areas, in Years 9 and 10. It’s important that the young people involved understand that although this is a project for Looked After Children, it will not focus on their past – but on their futures and all the options which are open to them.
When? – The 7 week project runs weekly from 4-6pm on Tuesdays, starting with Tuesday 10th May, and ending in a Graduation celebration on Tuesday 22nd June at Number One Riverside. There will also be a full day VIP trip to The University of Bolton during half term on Tuesday 31st May.
Transport: We need Carers to support this exciting project by ensuring that their children arrive at the venue on time and are picked up at the appropriate finish time. Transport to The University of Manchester for the VIP trip will be provided.
