Success4Life Bolton
Event providers: University of Bolton

The University of Bolton is proud to announce that Success4Life will be running in Bolton in February and we would like to invite you to nominate looked after children in your school to take part!
What is it? – Success4Life is an aspiration and confidence raising project aimed at looked after young people. Each week young people take part in a range of engaging and interactive activities intended to raise their awareness of higher education and their options, as well as life skills, wellbeing, team building and confidence workshops. Sessions include:
- Pizza making
- Confidence and team building at Octagon Theatre
- Outdoor adventure day at The Anderton Centre
- Scavenger hunt at The University of Bolton
- Accommodation tour
- challenges, games and more!
Who is it for? – Looked After Children in Bolton and the surrounding areas, in Years 8 and 9. It’s important that the young people involved understand that although this is a project for Looked After Children, it will not focus on their past – but on their futures and all the options which are open to them.
Where? – The project will meet at our main reception at The University of Bolton, Deane Road, Bolton, BL3 5AB https://www.bolton.ac.uk/resources/pdfs/HowToFindUsMainReception.pdf
When? – The 7-week project runs weekly on Thursdays from 4-6pm at The University of Bolton, starting on the 2nd Feb and finishing with a graduation ceremony on the 14th March. The programme will also feature a full-day campus visit during half term on 23rd Feb, and an outdoor adventure day in the Easter Holidays.
Transport: We need Carers to support this exciting project by ensuring that their children arrive at the venue on time and are picked up at the appropriate finish time.
