Scribble and Script

Event providers: Stockport College

Student in the Library reading a book

Scribble and Script is a new project that has been developed in partnership with The Trafford College Group to bring a new fresh idea of Poetry to Greater Manchester!

Students will have the opportunity to look around a gallery of work that has been created by HE students. They will use these pieces of work as stimuli to create poetry. The students will meet and hear from a panel of local published poets and English Academic staff where they will talk about their passion, experience and love of poetry.

Throughout the day the learners will take part in 4 workshops. These workshops will be exploring poetry in new and innovative way. With an aim of writing their own piece of poetry at the end of the day the workshops will help students get ideas of how poetry can be formed.
