Maths on your Doorstep

Event providers: Wigan and Leigh College

‘Math’s on your Doorstep’ offers students the opportunity to develop and improve their mathematics skills as they approach their GCSE assessment. It is designed to build and strengthen pupil’s understanding of key curricular topics and enhance their preparation for Foundation or Higher tier Mathematics exams.

The programme is aimed at borderline grade 3/4/5 students, but can be adapted for higher abilities.

A cohort of 12 similar ability pupils from Year 9, Year 10 or Year 11 will attend practical and curriculum focussed Maths Challenge Days 3 times per year throughout the programme (2 for Year 11 due to exam dates).

Current dates available Thursday 23rd & Thursday 30th January. Other dates available upon request. Follow up sessions suggested in March/April and May/June.

Lunch & refreshments provided.
