MACBETH – English Literature Curriculum Enrichment
Event providers: University Campus Oldham
GMH presents….Performance of Macbeth with a fresh approach.
Set on an industrial wasteland, the piece gives a fresh approach to this infamous tale while still staying true to the original script. With a rock score, eerie masked witches, and gritty stage combat, the play is a unique chance for scholars to see their study live on stage. Guided by a workshop with the actors and director, this piece is superb preparation for exams and coursework on one of the all-time great tragedies.
The performance will help learners visualise the key scenes and help them to relate better to their reading and elements of comparing and contrasting. The performance is followed by a discussion and workshop of the play.
BONUS – Actors will also be back on stage to talk about their journey into Higher Education.
