Insight into Social Work

Event providers: Stockport College

What’s it like to be a social worker?

Students can discover what a career in challenging yet rewarding situations is like, working in ways that promote equality, diversity and social justice, and making a real difference to people’s lives. In this session you get to hear from a range of different social workers who have various experiences. From hearing about what motivated them to become a social worker, exploring their educational journey to daily life of a social worker, you get to hear it all! Learners also take part in real life case studies scenarios. Completing the session with a Q&A.

For post-16 students who are interested in attending this session, please inform your teacher to complete the form by expressing their interest.

GM Higher will need to record participation of learners in line with our funding requirements, so we will ask you to provide a register.
