HE Uncovered: Young Carers CPD
Event providers: University of Salford

A carer is anyone who has a commitment to providing unpaid care to a family member or friend who could not cope without their support. This may be due to illness, disability, a mental health issue, or substance misuse. There are approximately 375,000 young adult carers in the UK.
This 30-minute session is suitable for Local Authority staff, Carers centre staff and other key influencers of young carers. It gives an overview of HE, including financial and pastoral support and tips on supporting young people making decisions. We are happy to deliver this session as part of any training or information events that may be happening locally.
