Event providers: Greater Manchester Higher

Go Further logo

Go Further is an online mentoring project for Y10 students, it will help you to explore and discuss your options after year 11. You will have the opportunity to speak with a student ambassador studying at higher education over 6 weeks (including an induction week) via 1-1 messaging through the Brightside platform.

What’s involved?

You will be matched with a Mentor who is best placed to support you based on your interests. You will exchange messages online with your mentor who will  share a range of resources to help you explore your options after school and help you with making decisions about the future.

Go Further activities help to develop:

  • Decision-making skills
  • Transition skills
  • Study skills and revision techniques
  • Knowledge of post-16 options and HE pathways
  • Aspiration and positive attitude toward HE study

The project is flexible and the Brightside platform can be accessed online anywhere, at any time.
