An exclusive performance of ‘Uniform Factory’ with a Q&A about Louise’s work and how to be a poet. ‘Uniform Factory’ is available to purchase from louisethepoet.co.uk.

The pamphlet ‘documents and dreams, the after-affects of economic conscription, war in Afghanistan and PTSD. Gallows-humour standing shoulder to shoulder with bitter anger. The collection is punctuated by landays- a Pashtun poetic form, traditionally spread woman to woman, changing, rebelling and re-mixing in the telling. Written from the perspective of the families left behind in Northern England.’

Sessions suitable for Y9-11 and Y12-13. (Year 9, KS4, KS5, PHSE, British Values, Careers / GCSE English Literature – Unseen Poetry / A Level English Literature – Unseen Poetry).
