Engineering our futures – Learn by Design

Event Fallback Image

‘Engineering our Futures’ is a whole day learning experience where students rotate around 5 engineering themed workshops. Activities within these are highly engaging and interactive, immersing students in a range of ENGINEERING and Engineering based topics including infrastructure, robotics, rail and renewable energies. The diverse workshops are designed throughout to highlight opportunities for careers within ENGINEERING and the benefits these can bring, whilst challenging students to be innovative, creative and build on core and key skills such as communication, teamwork and presentation.

Delivered by experienced professional ENGINEERING education communicators and often supported by real life industry employees, the day is inspirational as well as being incredibly informative.

The workshops will raise awareness of innovative renewable energy technologies and possible careers within this sector. They will also raise levels of understanding of the importance of infrastructure within everyday logistics and what career opportunities there may be within this field. Students will gain confidence in presentation skills and the pathways available into ENGINEERING HE & Careers.
