This event consists of two 50 minute workshops that was designed in collaboration with John Hera, content of sessions tailored to either pre-16/post-16 students, the first session is teacher led giving insight into the life of a lawyer, the class will then be introduced to two mock court cases and be split into four groups so we have a prosecutor and defendant for both court cases. With the hints and tips that John Hera will provide they should then prepare their case in the rest of the lesson in preparation for the second session.

Within the follow up session students can finalise their mock court cases they have worked on in the previous session while the video chat is set up in class. The students will then be introduced to John Hera, gain some insight into his role and how he got to his position. Students will then have 5 minutes per group to put forward their case of prosecution or defence and gain some feedback from John Hera of what they might expect from their case. At the end students will also get the opportunity to do a Q&A with John Hera to gain insight into the life of a lawyer.
