Childhood Studies taster session

This session is for learners who wish to work with young people, but do not have an idea what they would like to do beyond that. Learners find out what it would be like studying Childhood studies, we explore a topic within the course, crime and deviance. The session explores psychological tool which allows learners to improve understanding between individuals within a group. This session also emphasises “soft skills” such as behaviour, empathy, co-operation, inter group and interpersonal development, which can be contextualised and applied in a variety of situations and environments. Finishing the session by discussing and exploring the various careers that can be taken up once you have completed your degree and a chance to speak to current or former students.
