Blood and Bodies – Explore Biomedicine

Event providers: University of Salford

Event Fallback Image

Explore Salford days provide an interactive insight into a specific subject area alongside a wider programme of activity. As part of each day, learners will go on a campus quest and see first-hand where students live, work and relax as well as the great facilities that the University of Salford has to offer. Current students will be on-hand throughout the day to answer any questions about University life.

At this interactive event participants will explore the field of biomedical science including topics such as human anatomy, genetics, microbiology, medicine, neuroscience and human physiology. From exploring our bodies at a microscopic level, to creating microbiology ‘bio-selfies’, to creating brain craft, this varied and hands on experience will allow a full exploration of the human body, from cells to systems, using a combination of creative activity, scientific experiment and explorative discussion’. Careers in medicine and biomedicine will be explored and there will be a chance to interact with inspirational scientists and undergraduate students.
