Description

The Tutor Trust is the only organization offering a low-cost, high-quality tuition service to schools on a not-for-profit basis. As a Manchester-based education charity, we are keen to develop a partnership with schools to provide affordable tuition, using inspirational tutors in Maths, English and Science to targeted groups of Primary and Secondary pupils, to help them achieve their full potential. All our tutors have an enhanced DBS check and are insured by our charity.

Our service is regognized as an effective intervention: a large-scale randomized controlled trial funded by the Education Endowment Foundation confirmed that our Year 6 Maths tutees made, on average, three month additional progress compared to a matched control group.

Some Tutor Trust achievements so far:

  • Our tutors have delivered over 50,000 hours of tuition at over 250 schools
  • Recruited and trained over 1,000high quality tutors
  • A quarter of Teach First recruits from Manchester were Tutor Trust tutors
  • Tutor Trust is a finalist for ‘Best New Charity’, 2016 Charity Times Awards
