Learners will gain insight into Creative and Digital Media, using technology facilities to develop hands-on experience of Creative Media at HE level. Content will be suitable for those with some prior understanding, in order to explore more advanced practice, designed to bridge the gap between FE and HE study.
For students considering studying Creative and Digital Media, this broadcast practice workshop is a hands-on chance to select, write, film and present using professional equipment. Under the guidance of an award-winning tutor, broadcast practice, editorial and writing skills will be taught. It is a fun opportunity for students to experience first-hand what they will study on a higher education programme that is aimed at giving them a practical stepping stone into the film and television industries. Not only will students understand work undertaken by broadcast journalists, it will help boost their confidence behind and in front of the camera. Students will have an opportunity to ask about career pathways to creative media industries, and be given motivation to think about applying for university.
